West Bloomfield Congregational Church was established in 1799. We were a ground breaking church even in our early days: We were highly active in the abolition and civil rights movements. Female Pastor Annis F. Eastman led the church from 1893 to 1895, long before women had the right to vote in the United States! In 2008 we went through a process of study, dialogue, discernment and prayer, and in early 2009 we voted to become voted to become an “Open and Affirming” UCC church.

West Bloomfield Congregational Church is known for:
- Thought-provoking sermons and uplifting worship.
- Fantastic choir and special guests filling the sanctuary with beautiful music.
- A real feeling of family and community.
