November 22nd: Annual Thanksgiving Dinner at WBCC, 12-2pm West
Bloomfield Congregational Church will be serving Thanksgiving Dinner on Thanksgiving Day. This meal is for anyone who finds themselves alone on the holiday, in need of a meal, or who cannot cook. Do you know of someone who would appreciate a meal? You are welcome to take meals home to those in need. FREE but we appreciate an RSVP to the church at 624-1313.
December 8th: Annual Cookie Sale & Vendor Fair, 9am-1pm Let us be your holiday baker! 100s of cookies sold for $8 a pound, featuring cut-outs and other Christmas favorites including some gluten free items. Also… vendors!
December 8th: Youth Group Christmas Movie Night. Drop off your kiddos to be entertained by the youth group. We’ll have snacks, crafts and watch a Christmas movie. Take some time to go shopping or out to dinner while your kiddos have a great time with the “big kids”! 6-9pm, $5 per child ($20 max per family) RSVP is appreciated
December 16th: Blue Christmas service 6pm, The Christmas season is a time of communal joy and celebration. This is as it should be, but not at the expense of those among us who are grieving, despondent, and/or depressed. It can be an isolating and lonely time for our brothers and sisters who are hurting. This will be a quietly reverent and tenderly comforting service created for those who are hurting emotionally. A simple soup and bread meal will be offered after the service for any who choose to stay.
December 23rd: Christmas Pageant & Hallelujah Chorus during 10am service. An engaging, modern adaption of the story of Christ’s birth followed by a stirring rendition of Handel’s masterpiece.
December 24th: Christmas Eve Services: 10am Sunday Family Service & 11pm Quiet Communion Our early service is boisterous and celebratory. Our late service is quiet and reflective, concluding with candlelight singing and the ringing of the church bell at midnight
