Introduction
Most of us regularly allow ourselves to be whipped into a frenzy. We seldom stop to ask ourselves what that “breaking news” is breaking. We grind away to get the job done without stepping back to discern what the job is doing. We spend time without considering what we’re buying with it. So much of what we consume and absorb is designed to keep us mindlessly consuming and absorbing.
This latest work from dbdb is a love letter to all who feel a hollow spot in their existence. Each of these songs focuses on a wanting in life, death, religion, politics, love, hate, and/or community. Here’s what I was thinking as I wrote these songs.
